OH MY GOD! People, Really!!!!
I feel like I am in the 1950's all over again (and that is especially disconcerting because I was born in 1977).
But, I feel like I am in the 1950's because there are so many freaking people going bat shit crazy about the EAS system. The federal agencies (FCC, FEMA, DHS, NOAA and NWS) will be temporarily cutting off Television and Radio broadcasts to test an emergency notification system (And it's being shut down during RUSH's broadcast of all things, gasp!!!)
What the real issue is to me: Several members of the "Tea" party are outraged about this. And that is about all they are: loud, stupid, and totally wasting my time. So if you are going to call your self a "Tea" party, then really folks, lets have some f-ing tea. I want to see you go out dressed as savages and overthrow some goods that are being unjustly taxed. Hell, I would be happy if you went out and held a sign in front of the mayors office for half an hour. But no, we can not do that, and worse, we can look down on the "rabble" who are trying to change things, while we continue to sit in our nice cozy upper middle class homes, with our secure 401K's.
